2017In December, Kathryn was a featured Peanuts character on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Gotta love dressing up in a Peanuts-inspired costume and hanging with the hilariously talented people of the Tonight Show!
In November, Kathryn had a co-star role on a hilarious web episode Ms. Connection. She got to play a woman auditioning for a role.. very meta!
In June, Kathryn took the legendary Bob Krakower New Student On-Camera Acting class - wow, game changer! Kati loved Bob’s insight and his sense of humor too. Bob’s approach and insightful tips have definitely stuck with Kathryn.
In early June, Kathryn played the LEAD in a 24 page industrial for the New York State Governor’s Office. Kathryn played Kate, an eager, new supervisor learning on the job quickly what it takes to be a supervisor… somewhat reminiscent of Leslie Knope on Parks and Rec ;) She got to shoot in the lovely parks department in Saratoga Springs!
In April, Kathryn played a news reporter in a radio commercial for Premio Sausage.
Kati has changed her stage name to Kathryn Rae!

In March, Kati shot a short comedic film titled Pregnancy Sex, she played one of the leads. It’s bound to be a riot.
Kati shot an episode of Mysteries at the Museum in February. In one role, she played a medium, a character she’s played on several occasions!
Kati got to work with director Don Wells, writer William Rabkin, and the wonderful graduating students of the Long Island University Writing for TV program in producing their thesis pilot project Off Record. Kati played Mina, a principal character.
2016Kati just wrote, directed, and acted in her second original short film, Cake. She got to collaborate with her husband, Matt McDonald, and her brother, David Cowardin. This was their second time collaborating. Kati and David are now in the post-production phase, stay tuned!
As part of ARTC’s Spring Reading Series in May, Kati played Miranda, the title role, in a staged reading in the new, one-woman, 15-minute piece Miranda Under the Volcano. It was exciting for Kati to do her first one-woman show! Kati’s commercial for Car Sense, a Pennsylvania car dealership, is live! And it’s funny! In January, as part of ARTC’s Winterworks, a festival of new one act plays, Kati played the lead Magda in a new 50-minute play called The Beeping, by Josh Drimmer. They had sold out performances and great feedback. Kati loves working on new work! 2015Kati just got to play a yoga teacher (on film and not just in real life!) in Tom O’Brien and Jessie Barr’s awesome new web series Om City. In July, Kati played the lead (Iris) in a staged reading of a new play by Meryl Spiegel, called On the Mat. The reading was at Theatre for the New City. She got to play a yoga instructor, something very near and dear to her heart.
Kati just played Mia Damen in the talented Josh Drimmer’s short play Damen’s Lament as part of American Renaissance Theatre Company’s Spring Reading Series, June 2015.
Kati was thrilled to work with Young Playwright’s Inc. again in their Young Playwrights Conference Reading Series at the Cherry Lane Theatre — these young playwrights were so talented and well spoken, it was an honor to be a part of this special series!
2014
Kati wrote and directed her first film, Gerr Berr in addition to starring in it! Stay tuned for viewing options.
In mid-July, Kati got to work with youth playwrights and stage several of their works in progress for the 3Thursdays free creative writing program that teaches playwriting to New York City public high school students. What a talented group of students! Kati was honored to help our young playwrights and writers develop, create, and learn.
Kati was in another episode of The Haunting Of! She plays the featured role of Mary, a ghost, in the Valerie Harper episode.
Kati did a staged reading of Khmer Shiva by Kate Grant, as part of ARTC’s Spring Reading Series in June. She played Mia—it was very well received!
Kati wrapped primary shooting for “Our Studio,” a web series created by her friends Megan Hughes and Adam Rini, where she plays Bess Fayne. It was super successful and she had a blast. Kati shot three more short films recently!: Special Delivery (NYU Grad. Thesis Film), Different Wavelengths (IFI of NY Film), and The Love They Carried (Hofstra Univ. Film). Kati is in the “Dear God” episode of the super funny Boys Who Brunch (release date tbd). This fall, Kati did several readings of new work with the theater company she is a part of, ARTC (American Renaissance Theater Company): Up Against the Wall by Marc Castle, Going to Vietnam by Victoria Sullivan, and Khmer Shiva by Kathryn Grant. Feels great to be a part of amazing new work in development!!! Kati filmed two episodes of The Haunting Of! Kati played Audrey Munson in the “American Venus” episode of Monumental Mysteries. You can check it out HERE. Kati filmed Rubber Ducks - the web episode, where she plays part of a quirky couple.
Kati shot a commercial in Ireland for an Irish bottled water company, Deep River Rock. You can see the ad campaign HERE! Kati played Jersey Girl in an NYU Graduate Student Film “The Charms” where she played Jersey Girl. The film premiered in May.
